Enschede’s nightlife once had places that pulsed with culture - venues like SPACEBAR, N8kelder, and ’t Bölke - but their closures left a gap. For a city with over 30,000 students and a growing creative community, there was no longer a space that truly reflected contemporary cultural values: inclusive, intentional, and artistically ambitious.

We saw the need. And we decided to build the answer.

ANTIA was born from a group of experienced cultural producers, DJs, designers, and community builders who share one vision: to create a venue that’s both artistically daring and socially welcoming. We wanted a place where underground culture can thrive without losing its soul: a place where international talent and local legends share the same stage, where the crowd is as diverse as the music, and where every night feels like it matters.

ANTIA is a cultural space in Enschede where electronic music, immersive art and community meet. You might call it a nightclub. We host genre-deep nights, visual experiences that transform the room, and community-led events.

We focus on inclusivity, artistic integrity and creating a safe place where people feel seen and free to be themselves. Every night is curated with care, from our no-phones-on-the-dancefloor policy to giving underrepresented artists the stage.
