A night built on progression, as we ramp up from house into progressive and techno territory. We invite Kasper Marott from Denmark, together with local force Euphemist. To increase the pace, Groningen’s own Deets and RDVSK take over.
Get sucked in as time passes and enjoy the ride.
Kasper Marott is a DJ, producer and label head from the small town Skee in Denmark. Kasper has been DJ’ing and producing since his teen years, with releases on labels like Seilscheibenpfeiler, Kulør and his own Axces imprint.
Since his debut in 2014, Kasper has shown his skill to produce ecstatic yet reflective tracks with a clear voice over and over. With his highly refined taste across genres he has also proven to be a unique talent as a DJ – his ear for the percussive elements of music is of a rare kind and his DJ sets sliding easily between moods, tempos and styles.
In 2018 he released his breakthrough EP on Modeselektor's Seilscheibenpfeiler label. The euphoric title track Keflavik lit up clubs and festivals all year long and was named “one of the biggest club records of the year” by Resident Advisor. In the following year Kasper released a new EP on Courtesy’s flourishing label project Kulør. With the Forever Mix EP, he proves to be texturally rich and unconventional once again. His intuitive approach to producing together with constantly finding new inspiration in other genres, his local community and society as a whole makes his music freshly unique and relevant to the scene.
Smooth to raw techno with Jack Fresia (live), Hedemann, LLWYD and Melånist (live).
Every last Thursday of the month, we open our doors for the community. A night for connection, local talent, and sounds that bring us together. Whether you’re here to listen, dance, or meet like-minded people, the community night may provide your needs.
We change gears to a higher tempo, as we dedicate an entire night to drum and bass. We’ll explore the genre from multiple angles: the atmospheric textures of intelligent drum and bass, the hypnotic pull of minimal and techy rollers and the grit of halftime and jungle. We present a meeting of new talent and masters in the scene, with MiesFM and Seven-Headed alongside Jesh and a heavy-hitting B2B with Nymfo & Zohar.
Cutting-edge sonics as the shifting of storms. Percussive and pulsating, Zohar is known for a razor-sharp and highly dynamic club-signature. With years of formative experience controlling dancefloors, the artist behind Zohar has been treading a diverse and eclectic musical path in which rattling low-end and rhythmic tension can be regarded as the common denominators. Known for technical refinement and mixing witchcraft, Zohar now intuitively seeks innovative and surprising connections, both disorienting and exciting listeners in the process.
The artist’s sparse yet prolific output as a producer is best channeled through the illustrious ZHR label. Its catalog consists of two DIY releases (Object, 2022; self-titled, 2019) and have been distributed in collaboration with Clone Rotterdam. These highly personal records provide temporal signs that define Zohar’s artistic development. Furthermore, works appeared on compilations by Dekmantel (DKMNTL X PATTA, 2020) and Traumgarten (Flowers That Bloom At Midnight, 2020).
Quickly becoming a mainstay in the vital Dutch scene, Zohar has recently featured at renowned institutions such as Dekmantel Festival (2022, 2019) and FIBER Festival (2022) as well as making international appearances at Positive Education (2022) and the Opera House (2022, 2018). The latter took place in collaboration with dance performer Hannah Grennel (formerly involved with the Royal Ballet UK).
