After years behind the decks, JOEP WAS HERE recently started releasing his own music, bringing the same energy and emotion from his DJ sets into his productions. Whether in the studio or behind the decks, his focus is simple: creating music that brings people together on the dancefloor.

    • Roos Reijmers

    • To

I'm Cinar, I was introduced to electronic music in Ankara initially and I fell in love with the vibes on the dancefloor instantly; the constant tension, magical melodies building up, it was perfect for my energy.

Then came the passion for digging, my taste getting more specific over time and now I like playing sets that are hypnotic, unfiltered, tribal and dark in a sense that could unleash the discomfort in all of us. I have connected with techno the most over time and I believe that it can bring resilience and unity. The idea of this collective presence is what drives me to dig more and more and I really enjoy DJing a lot. I approach my sets fresh every time, from scratch I build playlists based on my current taste and I try to stay open to new kinds of music to find tweaks and create spontaneity.

    • vanta

vanta (Hengelo, 1990) gravitates towards the darker edges of music: raw, trippy, off-beat and unapologetically uncheerful. Named after one of the darkest substances known, absorbing light rather than reflecting it, her sound follows a similar logic as she strips away brightness and pushes towards minimal and repetitive textures.

As both a DJ and producer, she channels this aesthetic through the mixer and the Elektron Digitakt sampler, shaping energetic yet gloomy techno sets and productions.

  • ANTIA Spotlight

On the 26th we introduce ANTIA Spotlight, a new format born from our open decks.

Each month, artists from our community take over the our bar area, bringing new sounds, spontaneous collaborations and experimentation into the room. ANTIA Spotlight is a moment to highlight some talent we spotted during the short open decks appearances, re-invited to curate their own night.

In this first edition, Fulgo, Gill b2b SIM1, JAPPA b2b Shake Minstrel, and Mars join forces for a night full of good music and unexpected turns.

    Who's playing?

    • Fulgo

    • GILL

Gill Bollegraf, aka DJ GILL, has been hooked on dance since the age of 12, when she first saw a DJ and knew: that’s what I want to do.

A former resident DJ at ’t Bölke, she helped bring house music to the East of the Netherlands. She has organised club and outdoor events and played in houseclubs in Germany and the UK. A member of TheFemDem from the very beginning. GILL’s sound moves through soul, funk, disco and house. She loves creating new connections beyond the club, collaborating with choirs, theatre productions, museums and other artists. For GILL, the synergy with the audience is where her soulful heart comes alive.

    • Sim1

DJ SIM1 from Enschede makes you laugh and dance with funky, groovy tunes straight from the heart. What started as a devoted local DJ fangirl naturally evolved into stepping behind the decks herself, shaped by endless nights, sweaty dance floors, and the Enschede underground as her training ground.

Growing up in that underground scene, surrounded by a wide spectrum of styles and subcultures, SIM1 learned one essential truth: genre is secondary, feeling is everything. From Japanese city pop to disco, from warm soulful grooves to high-energy club tracks, her sets are a rollercoaster that reflects exactly who she is.

She plays what makes her happy. Sometimes soft and sultry, sometimes harder and rawer. The foundation always stays the same: if she can dance to it, so can you.

Inspired by international sounds, from Italian flair to Japanese funk, with the occasional unexpected Dutch gem, DJ SIM1 creates sets that let go of boundaries and revolve purely around connection, freedom, and joy.

Expect warmth, playfulness, and a dance floor that doesn’t take itself too seriously, but definitely keeps moving.

    • JAPPA

Based in Enschede, JAPPA is an upcoming artist with a focus on delivering high-energy, raw club music, mixing the new sounds of bounce and booty trance, with old (and new) school hard-house, trance and bubbling gems. Coming from a background as a party DJ, JAPPA learned to read crowds like a book, developing an instinct for what works and what doesn’t on a dancefloor. Today, he channels that crowd-moving experience into his sets, combining his love for rhythm with pure energy to create a party every single time he plays.
    • Shake Minstrel

Shake Minstrel is a DJ from Enschede who has been behind the decks since 2016. His sets move through house, techno and dance, held together by a love for percussion, groove and bass you can feel.

He never arrives with the night mapped out in full. Instead, he pays attention to the room and lets the crowd help shape where the music goes next. That approach has taken him from clubs and festivals to private events across the Netherlands. For Shake Minstrel, a good set is less about sticking to a genre and more about finding what works, right there and then.

    • Mars

Mars is a Romanian DJ who has been based in Enschede for the past three years, being a familiar face within the community. Mars started out playing hard techno, drum & bass moving between genres like dancehall and trance. Currently Mars draws inspiration from UK Garage and her own experiences playing different genres creating sets full of energy, wobbly basslines and unexpected twists. She will ensure a crowd stays moving and taking over the dancefloor as one.

    Who's playing?

    • db

    • oglira

Enschede-based artist oglira (Romanian for oglindă, mirror) offers a genuine and clear reflection of what's authentic and unrepeatable in each one of us, a space to feel fully instead of disappearing. That conviction took root at fifteen, busking summers in Vama Veche, Romania's underground hub, watching it hold true in every face around him. Rhythm came first at a local reggae dub sound system, then found its language in Enschede's underground, running free tekno and psytrance parties, mixing the way jazz is played, listening as much as leading. Each genre he absorbed (rominimal, dub, IDM, downtempo, folklore) became another word in a private vocabulary, used only when the story calls for it. A year in the studio turned that vocabulary into his own voice: soul and Detroit-Chicago house folded into techno's foundation
    • Orpheus

Orpheus is an artist from Nijmegen blending various layers of techno elements with precision and control. His sets take the dancefloor on a journey through a percussive and driving heartbeat in balance with evolving tension and release.
    • Tchoha

Originally from Bulgaria and now based in Enschede, Tchoha crafts multi-genre sets built around storytelling, combining high energy with unexpected twists. From hardgroove and bouncy trance to schranz, his selections thrive on contrast, blending different sounds into a seamless journey.

Alongside DJing, he is the founder of System909 Events, an organization that reflects his musical vision while bringing fresh energy to Enschede's electronic music scene.

Drawn to the strange and the unfamiliar, Serti enjoys tickling people's brains with unusual textures, sudden outbreaks of energy and moments that challenge expectations without losing the dancefloor.

At the core of his work lies a deep fascination with sound itself. Combining modular systems, modern synthesis and analog outboard gear, he crafts immersive sonic worlds where every detail is carefully shaped. His approach is both technical and intuitive, driven by curiosity, experimentation and a desire to create music that feels alive.
