Enschede-based artist oglira (Romanian for oglindă, mirror) offers a genuine and clear reflection of what’s authentic and unrepeatable in each one of us, a space to feel fully instead of disappearing. That conviction took root at fifteen, busking summers in Vama Veche, Romania’s underground hub, watching it hold true in every face around him. Rhythm came first at a local reggae dub sound system, then found its language in Enschede’s underground, running free tekno and psytrance parties, mixing the way jazz is played, listening as much as leading. Each genre he absorbed (rominimal, dub, IDM, downtempo, folklore) became another word in a private vocabulary, used only when the story calls for it.
